1964 B-body gas tank arrived and looks to be perfect fit with relocated filler neck! Made in Canada and looks very high quality. Not sure about which straps will work best, but will order '64 straps and make them fit.

Fabricated cover for vent opening and welded in place. Rear brake parts starting to arrive. Still need shoes, axle bearings and axle gasket.

  1. Hi Gary, did you relocate your tank filler or did your tank supplier relocate it for you? Where did you source the tank and flip down plate holder?

    Thanks,

    Frank

    1. Frank, the tank and fill pipe are stock '64 B-body. I can't find the invoice right now, but I think I got it from Rock Auto.

The '64 tank fit so only because I removed the stock spare tire well and replaced the totally rusted floor with a straight piece of sheet metal.

The flip-down holder was a generic part I ordered from Amazon. There were several choices available when I bought this one.

I have a box full of unfiled invoices that I really have to get sorted!

  2. Thanks, Gary! I plan to use some of your ideas on my '55 Savoy project. I also have a poly that will end up in mine.
